***********************************************************

Please join us at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday August 26, 2023 at the DuPage County Historical Museum where we will be giving a talk on the History of the CA&E Railway.  The museum is located at 102 E. Wesley St., Wheaton IL.

During the early 1900’s, communities from Chicago to the Fox River were linked together by one of the first and fastest electric interurban railways in the United States – the Chicago, Aurora, & Elgin Railway. We will look at how the railway evolved over the decades, how it ultimately failed by the middle of the 20th century, and how its legacy is still with us today. Thank you to DuPage Foundation for sponsoring this event.

This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required on the DuPage County Historical Museum’s website: https://dupagemuseum.org/events/8-26-a-history-of-the-chicago-aurora-and-elgin-railway/
