The inaugural Bike Wheaton Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015. This event is being organized by the Wheaton Bicycle Advisory Committee and the Downtown Wheaton Association.

Festivities will begin with a family bike parade at 10 a.m. at West and Front streets, ending in Memorial Park. Participants are encouraged to decorate their bikes for the parade. Organizers will present awards for the best decorated bikes at 10:30 a.m. in Memorial Park.

From 10:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be family activities in Memorial Park and along Karlskoga Avenue (which is along the south end of the park). For more information, visit the Downtown Wheaton Association’s website or contact the Wheaton Bicycle Advisory Committee at bikewheaton@gmail.com.
